Let's see. Not that much has happened this week to write about. The kids are home tomorrow for a 3 day weekend. It is the end of our school trimester here. I'm disappointed once again in my oldest that still lives at home. I'm sure he trying some but not hard enough on grades. He will possible fail 2 of his classes. It is so disappointing because for one he needs to do better, for another he only played 2 games the whole season of basketball because of his grades. It is just so disheartening. Both dh and I were so looking forward to watching him with his skills at basketball this year. Then we can't and its so disappointing. I couldn't wait to scrapbook some great pages of him playing , but, disappointed I couldn't even take pictures of him playing since he couldn't even play. When you know they are capable because he got a B on a couple of tests that he doesn't put more effort in it all. I know he could get A's and B's in every class if he would put the effort in. ugh! so frustrating and disappointing.
Anyways' on to brighter things. This weekend we have been invited to meet at a sledding hill with the boys on Sunday with about 5 other families from our neighborhood. Sounds like lots of fun. It has like 2o lanes I'm told for everyone to go down. Plus they say you can hook the tubes (theirs)together for a fun all for one trip down the hills. They have a lodge for when you get cold. I'm hopeing to go. We will see if the weather works out as it calls for snow or rain. Plus, the fun thing is you don't have to walk back up the hill , it has a moving sidewalk to take you back up. YAY, for this old lady, that's the hard part, walking back up after the fun ride down. We also have fight night again on Saturday night our cousins, and a dh has a few guys from the office ready to come yell and watch the fights. So it should be a good weekend.
It was 40 here today, the first time we've hit 40 i think since october or before. The only thing was it was foggy/cloudy/misty all day. It would have been a great day had the sun came through.
My first winter here hasnt' been all that bad. I do not like being freezing everytime I leave the house. Although, I do like the seasons here so far. I can't wait to see what spring and summer are like. As I came at the end of summer last year. I bet the flowers and trees are going to be awesome. I see they have ordered all the fish huts off the frozen lakes this last week which means spring and a thaw is near. I can't wait to see it all unfold in front of me.
I'm glad my dh has given me the opportunity to experience new states and new adventures. I love him so much!
